Clearer WordPress troubleshooting
Stop Guessing What Went Wrong
WordPress errors rarely explain themselves clearly. Error Doctor turns a noisy log into a smaller action plan, helping you see what is happening now, which component is probably involved, and what deserves attention first.
Focused Error Analysis
Read only the final 2 MB of the configured log, choose a useful time period, and combine repeated events by fingerprint instead of sorting through every line.
Prioritized Findings
See active fatal errors first, keep old fatal records as neutral history, and group findings by plugin, theme, WordPress core, or an unknown component.
Privacy-First Reports
Remove common paths, URLs, database identifiers, email addresses, IP addresses, access tokens, API keys, and other secrets before sanitized findings are stored.
Safe by Design
Error Doctor explains evidence and safe next steps. It does not edit files, alter settings, clear logs or caches, disable plugins, change the database, or attempt automatic repairs.
A direct, controlled process
From Error Log to Useful Answers
Error Doctor gives site owners and professionals a straightforward process for understanding WordPress problems while keeping control of every decision.
Run a Local Scan
Open Tools → Error Doctor and scan the configured WordPress or PHP log. Local diagnostics do not contact an outside service.
Choose the Period
Review today, the last 24 hours, the last 7 or 30 days, or set custom dates so old entries do not overwhelm the investigation.
Review the Action Plan
Start with current critical findings, then open grouped component rows for impact, resolution steps, and technical evidence.
Choose the Next Step
Use the local guidance, request optional AI help, save a sanitized PDF, or share the report with a WordPress professional.

Connect Your AI Directly in Error Doctor
Choose OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini in the Error Doctor dashboard, paste your API key, and select Test & Connect. The official provider adapters are included—there is no second provider plugin to find or install.
OpenAI
Separate API billing required. Error Doctor prefers GPT‑5.6 Luna with GPT‑5 mini as its fallback. A typical complete report is about 0.3¢.
Anthropic Claude
Separate API credits required. Error Doctor prefers Claude Haiku 4.5 with Sonnet 4.6 as its fallback. A typical report is about 1–4¢.
Google Gemini
Limited free API tier available. Paid use of the preferred Flash-Lite model and its fallback is typically about 0.1–0.6¢.
Cost-Controlled by Design
Local diagnostics cost $0. Most complete AI explanations cost less than 5¢, focused requests generally cost less, and AI output is capped at 4,000 tokens.
Your raw log stays on your server. AI analysis is optional, requires your approval, and receives sanitized diagnostic context—not the complete log. WordPress manages the provider key; PressCare Error Doctor does not receive it. ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions do not include API usage; API billing is separate.
Cost disclaimer: Estimates assume roughly 3,000 input and 2,000 output tokens. Actual charges vary with report size, provider pricing, taxes, model availability, account tier, and free-tier limits. Prices can change. Your provider bills you directly; PressCare does not charge or receive API fees.

Straight answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Error Doctor automatically fix problems?
No. Error Doctor is read-only. It analyzes bounded diagnostic data and explains findings, but it does not edit files, change settings, disable plugins, clear caches, alter the database, or apply automatic repairs.
Do I need an AI provider to use it?
No. Local log parsing, grouping, redaction, component detection, reporting, JSON export, and the site snapshot work without an AI provider.
Does the plugin automatically send my website information to AI services?
No. AI analysis is optional and begins only after an administrator approves the request. The plugin sends sanitized diagnostic context—not the complete raw log—to the provider configured through WordPress.
Which AI providers can I use?
OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini are built into the setup experience. Error Doctor includes their official WordPress provider adapters, so no second provider plugin is required. WordPress manages the provider credentials.
Does my ChatGPT or Claude subscription include API use?
No. ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro do not include OpenAI API usage, and Claude Free, Pro, and Max do not include Anthropic API credits. Google Gemini currently offers a limited free API tier for supported models.
What are the system requirements?
PressCare Error Doctor version 1.2.9 requires WordPress 7.0 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer.
Does optional AI analysis cost money?
Local scans, reports, printing, and exports cost $0. Most complete AI explanations are expected to cost less than 5¢, and focused requests generally cost less. This is an estimate, not a guarantee: provider pricing, report size, taxes, model availability, account tier, and free-tier limits can change the charge. The provider bills you directly; PressCare does not charge or receive API fees.
Is Error Doctor free?
Yes. PressCare Error Doctor version 1.2.9 is available as a free direct download from PressCare.
What if I still cannot fix the problem?
Save the sanitized report as a PDF or export it as JSON and share it with your developer or hosting provider. You can also request hands-on assistance from PressCare's senior WordPress and DevOps team.
